Capitalizing on increased consumer interest in cider is Greg Hall, former Brewmaster at Goose Island and founder of Michigan's Virtue Cider. During a recent tour of the farm, we caught up with Greg to hear more about the early days at Goose Island, his transition from beer to cider following their buyout in 2011, and even his impressions on what "craft" means to him.

We're all fans of beer here, especially local, Illinois brewed craft beer. We drink it at beer bars and breweries around town, pick up the newest releases at our neighborhood bottle shop, and attend the seemingly endless stream of festivals throughout the year. Breweries make beer, distributors get it to us, and we drink it. It's as simple as that right?
