Scottish Barrel-Aging with Dougal Sharp of Innis & Gunn

Scottish Barrel-Aging with Dougal Sharp of Innis & Gunn

EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND

Across the pond, the British craft beer scene is experiencing their own renaissance. Blending together hundreds of years of beer history with modern techniques, some truely unique British brews are hitting our shores. At the forefront of that movement in regards to barrel-aging, is Edinburgh's Innis & Gunn – founded in 2003 by long-time brewer Dougal Sharp. With a focus on oaken barrel-aged beers, the brewery's portfolio contains some of the most approachable beers brewed-in-wood that we've ever seen, and a completely different take on the style from what we see in the States.
